Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five, Emma attended The Dragon School. From the age of six Emma knew she was going to become an actor and for many years she was a student at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied singing dancing and acting. After eight consistent auditions director David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast for the roles of the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first film on the screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which was released in 2001. It was the highest-grossing film of 2001 The film broke records for its opening day sales as well as the opening weekend's earnings. Critics gave high praise to the film, particularly those who were young. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British newspaper, called Emma's performance "amazing". Emma got five nominations in recognition of her impressive performance. Then, she was awarded the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress in a Film.
